STRATAMAGNETIC SOFTWARE, LLC

Wilson C. Chin, author, scientist and software developer, earned his Ph.D. from M.I.T. and M.Sc. at Caltech. He has published 30 books, 50 patents, 100 papers, winning 5 awards from the U.S. Department of Energy. His petroleum geoscience interests include MWD design, managed pressure drilling, reservoir engineering, formation testing, electromagnetic logging, and drilling and cementing rheology. Wilson's work in advanced aerodynamics, computational biology and medical imaging have attracted strong interest and venture capital awards.

In 2023, he was Baker Hughes' nominee to the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. Stratamagnetic Software LLC (1997) now provides modeling and simulation services worldwide. During 2024, Mr. Chin founded Hong Kong's iSyringe Imaging Technologies Limited to develop novel medical imaging instruments. Advanced aerodyamic design methods for 6th Generation aircraft, developed over years, are now offered to the aerospace community.

TEAM MEMBERS

All techniques, methods and algorithms in our publications are developed for the general public interest and are not subject to patent restrictions unless noted otherwise. Comments, questions and contributions from all readers are welcome.

Xiaoying "Jenny" Zhuang

Jenny, Marketing Manager, Asia, develops business leads mainly in China and Hong Kong. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and helps bridge cultural gaps between English and Chinese speaking scientists and engineers. She is well versed in technical jargon, communicating comfortably about formation testing, presssure analysis and contamination, Measurement While Drilling, Intelligent iSyringe medical imaging, and more.

Jamie Chin

Jamie, with the University of Hong Kong, co-authored Biofluids Modeling, John Wiley & Sons, 2023 and "Intelligent Syringe for Porous Tissue Characterization Using Advanced Darcy Flow Pressure Transient Analysis," J. Applied Biology and Pharmaceutical Technology, Oct 2024.

Recently she published "Real-time Tissue Properties from “Intelligent iSyringe” Pressure Transient Analysis," J. Radiology and Clinical Imaging, June 2025, and "Surface Contamination Inverse Problem for 3D Diffusion Equation," Oct. 2025," J. Environment and Pollution.

Unlike X-rays, ultrasounds, Catscans and MRIs offering qualitative gray-scale imaging, the iSyringe provides real-time, inexpensive, convenient quantitative predictions for multiple local tissue properties like permeability and anisotropy. Jamie has experimentally validated the method for animal and human tissue, manufactured meats, agricultural harvesting and pastry packaging, and is presently developing new commercial markets.

Michael McKinley

Michael, Marketing Manager, United States, brings significant insights to pipe flow analysis, fluid rheology and Measurement While Drilling, having worked extensively with Halliburton, GE Oil & Gas, and currently leading energy infrastructure transformation projects as Project Manager on Full Scale Electrification programs for leading auto manufacturers.

Recent co-authorships include "Non-Newtonian Clogged Flows in Bifurcated Pipelines and Conduits," AADE National Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2023, "Multiprobe Formation Testing Interpretation with Coupled Pressure Transient and Contamination Analysis," SPWLA Formation Testing SIG Conference, 2024, and "New High Data Rate MWD Telemetry System," AADE National Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2025.

Markand Bhatt

Markand, a long time colleague and friend, is an experienced physician working out of London and Europe. His broad clinical insights and perspectives have guided our Intelligent iSyringe development, allowing us to focus on keeping our products and research directions relevant. Importantly, Markand tells us that quantitative diagnoses are increasing in demand in the medical community. We hope to present our tissue properties predictions with tell-tale numbers, not unlike familiar blood test reports that quantify both good and bad properties.

David Kayode

David Kayode, Marketing Manager, African Operations, is headquartered in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria. He earned his B.Eng in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), one of the country's leading schools, and interned at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), where he gained critical insight into regulatory policies.

Beyond his engineering roots, David is a Google Certified Project Manager with nearly a decade of experience in software development and programming. Interestingly, like the founder—whom he regards as his mentor—David shares a profound interest in aerospace and petroleum. Importantly, his fascination with Research and Development (R&D) is driven by the understanding that these industries are key technology drivers in today's dynamic geopolitical environments.
